Had a bit of interesting experience with these. First off, they are beautiful. Truly the best quality pair of boots on the market at this price point. The leather is thick, has a beautiful shine to them, and the shape is just perfect.
The first pair I bought, the left boot squeaked pretty loudly right out of the box. After some research, I found that the reason was because of the metal shank that sits above the inner leather ... unlike cheaper brands they don't use cardboard or foam but rather full leather. As a result, I had them exchanged. And the process was very simple. They sent me a replacement pair for free. I received the second and the same thing happened!!!! At first I thought I was crazy but after testing, indeed it continued. After going into the store in person, we realized that it was just the way that my foot shape is, along with how I step. I know this because the actual salesperson in the store wore them and he didn't have the problem. He couldn't replicate it if he tried. All this to say that you have to test the boots in person to make sure that they work for you and leather is very particular. But what I'm really happy with is that they honored the exchange even after I had already worn them and they helped me to fit into another pair. The no 1.. In the future I plan to try them again.. I was in a bit of a rush but since I live a hr away, I'll definitely be going back.
These boots were the perfect fit right out of the box. Now that they are starting to break in, they are the most comfortable boot I’ve ever owned. Also, the packaging quality is top-notch, and you can tell that care was put into it.

I got my first pair of Chisos last week. I had my eye on them for 2 years, and I was pretty sure I was going to buy No. 1 Magic Black as my first pair of Chisos, but when I saw Brushed Brown in person, I couldn’t resist going with those. The color is just gorgeous! The cowhide leather is top-notch, and the craftsmanship behind the boots is just outstanding.
I really love the feeling of these boots on my feet. I’ve got 13 other pairs from different brands in various leathers, but this pair feels very special!
Most of my boots are size 9D. A few of them are 9.5D. In the case of Chisos, I chose 10.5D. I don’t think Chisos is off with their sizing, but in some cases, I was wrong about choosing the right size.
The only thing I would really appreciate is a bigger spur ledge — to me, the spur ledge is too short and almost nonexistent.
That being said, I absolutely love these boots. I love how they feel and look. I’m definitely going to get another pair, but I’m not sure which one — all of Chisos’ boots are just too beautiful to pick only one! :)
Chisos, # 1 black ostrich are great Boots. For me I prefer the color of the number six ostrich burn orange looks awesome. I do enjoy the Boots, but I wish they would go back to the red leather liner insole. It wasn’t as gripping sticking your foot into the boot. I liked how that red leather insole was slicker and looked way better. I have one from my number #1 first edition and they are a lot more squishy. So the old style insole was definitely more comfortable. The fit seems fine but maybe break them In a little first without the insoles to start. I would have given it a five star if it wasn’t for the new insoles. I just wish they would’ve kept them the same or at least still offer the red leather insoles for people that want them. These new insoles just simply make them less comfortable, but the leather and the boot in general are really good quality. This is also from a guy who has purchased 8 pair of chisos boots thus far. I say who cares if the red leather bleeds that’s what we all want. Ha ha.
I like that it's a bit thicker than typical t-shirts. It also has some nice accents that give it more of an upscale feel.
The boot quality is unmatched. Im so glad I found Chisos. For the #1 they do not have a wide selection, so even though I went up a size the left foot was still tight. I normally wear a 9.5 wide. I ordered the 9.5 and had to send them back. The process was super simple. When the 10's arrived they fit perfect on the right foot but the left will need time to stretch out. I will order another pair in the 9.5 wide soon. But I loved the #1 pointed toe. This place has excellent service, and the boots are well constructed. When they are on your feet, you know your wearing a quality boot that will last a lifetime.
These are my first pair of cowboy boots and I have to say, they met and exceeded expectations. I freaking love them.
It's been said too many times but they're really worth every penny.
I've tried on a few "boots" in the past, and felt slightly dorky on 'em, so never purchased any.. but these are proper, hand made boots. They feel great, and I feel great too when I wear 'em. I receive tons of compliments.
I love companies like Chisos, that really put love into their craft, brand and products. These won't be my last pair Chisos. That is for sure. 🤙🏼
Easily the most comfortable cowboy boots I ever owned. I took my Chisos to Vegas for the weekend and did a lot of walking in them with no foot pain at all. I normally have pain around my second metatarsal and the ball of my foot, so I usually wear Birkenstocks for the extra support. I was really impressed with how comfortable the Chisos were the entire weekend.
The leather feels great, the boots are very well made, and the quality is noticeable. I own other cowboy boots, but none are as comfortable as these. If you deal with metatarsal or ball of foot pain, I definitely recommend giving Chisos a try.
One heads up for traveling theyre not TSA friendly 😅 and mine triggered the sensors at security so you will have to take them off. Other than that, 5 stars all the way!
I bought the chisos, number two ostrich based on YouTube reviews, and there were a few reviews on the website that cautioned about the right boot, not fitting the same as the left. I chocked those up to variations. In right foot left foot that was not the issue the problem with the right boot and you don’t notice it immediately because the vamp is tight on both boots, but once the left boot is broken in you begin to develop irritation on the right step upon examination of the boot I could see that there’s quite a discrepancy between the stitching on the left and the stitching on the right in that area and so there’s a protrusion of that stitching on your right step that does not go away with breaking. I’ll continue to try to loosen that vamp up to make the boots wearable but the right boot. It’s always going to have that blemish. I’ll add because I wished the reviews that I read about the difference in the left and right boo didn’t mention what to look for so if you buy the boot and try them on if you notice that stitching in the right boot, examine the exterior and look for the area over the right and step and how much further the stitching goes toward the toll of the boot, not a lot but significant compared to the left. Hope this helps because I have $1000 pair of boots that I thought would be incredibly comfortable and that I’ll wear on special occasions when I don’t have to have them on more than an hour or so.
Love these boots. I’ve bought 3 pairs in different colors and plan on buying a fourth. Well built and (luckily) fit like a glove after a short break in.

I bought a pair of boots but they were too small. After speaking with the customer service team, they recommend the correct size and started the return process. The return was a really easy process.
The new pair was a perfect fit. The chisos No. 1 is a very comfortable boot. The heel is taller than my other boots which was a surprise.
The only thing I regret is returning the stickers and koozie with the small boots. The new pair didn't have any of those small goodies.
Been searching for a true black boot for years and this one is beautiful and comfortable. Comfort is a big plus and this one checks that box. The inside is a gorgeous red and soft.

Good looking and comfortable boots and as such they were ordered 1/2 size larger than riding boots. These are going to be used for casual and dress situations and the 1/2 plus worked out perfectly for that. Thanks Chisos for the nice boots.
Right foot feels great but my left foot hurts pretty bad in the instep. To the point where my foot falls asleep if I'm off my feet. I think a thinner insole will solve the issue but I like the arch support of the included insoles.
Wow! I have owned many brands and types of cowboy boots for about 40 years. These Ostrich #2s are really outstanding! I am now a loyal customer and will be buying more pairs soon!
Like chapstick to my lips. This balm is easy to use and doesn't require a lot...in fact use soearinky and spread amply.
They keep my No. 2 looking great.
The comfort of these boots right out of the box is amazing! I have owned several different brands of boots but none have come close to these. They run true to shoe size and fit perfectly. The brushed brown is classic and goes well with casual and dress jeans. If you are trying to find a quality boot that has an amazing fit and comfort then these are for you.

If you are debating buying these, for any reason, just pull the trigger while they are in stock. I cannot stress how well made and comfortable they are. This has quickly become my go-to for everything from casual-wear to a suit, and I think I will need every color.

Quality is excellent. Problem for me is sizing. I wear a size 12D but for whatever reason, I ordered a 12.5D boot from you folks. On trying the boots on, they were extremely tight. I should have returned the boots and tried a 13D. I wear Rios and Lucchese boots in a size 12D and they fit great. I going to try to have your boots stretched as much as possible. All my fault, not yours. You may inform your prospects your boots run small.
Very comfortable , very happy with this purchase. I no more choose to wear high sole rubber snickers . These feel right and look good.
